As I am sure I have harped before, we don't celebrate 'manufactured holidays' like mother's day or father's day and so on. When we were first married, it was just a recipe for disappointment as there was no money for gifts or even a special dinner out. Over time, we started doing camping trips or hikes, geocaching and so on to mark the day spending time all together.
This year, we are minding the budget again and it was back to staying home and laying low, but I wanted a nice family photo.
