We met at the Monoco at Bridge Street for the free movie. They give away around 900 free tickets twice a week-and still end up turning folks away. Amazing! We saw Hotel For Dogs, which I will admit, I was not interested in seeing. It turned out to be a great little movie, I really enjoyed it.
Afterward, we hung out at the fountain in front for a little while and then went to lunch together.
Cathy and I headed out on our own to the library, determined to have SOME kind of adventure, we went to a branch neither of us had been to before-which turned out to be closed. hahaha! We found another branch library and stopped in for a few minutes, Cathy scored all of the original Star Trek movies on VHS for $5. Woo!
After the library, we went to Earth Faire and I stocked us up on all kinds of goodies. Their prices were not bad at ALL, not compared to some fru-fru places I have been. Of course some of the items were insanely high, but I was able to get 4 meals, 3 salads, some veggies, several drinks, a loaf of YUMMY bread and a big container of drinkable yogurt for $70. I got butternut squash ravioli, falafel and couscous, sunflower butter with rice bread, a 6-pack of white tea soda, blue corn chips and organic garlic salsa and a huge container of tabouli, which I have decided I could eat daily-I am going back for more ASAP. Oh man, it's good. The butternut salad was not that great-maybe paired with the pasta, it will be better. I have apple almond quinoa for lunch today.
Not sure who some of these kids are.
Have hill, will make laundry.
